Blocking scripts when using the Consent Manager plugin
If your website uses the Consent Manager plugin and certain scripts or widgets do not work as expected, the issue may be related to the way client-side script blocking is configured.
This usually occurs when third-party scripts are blocked automatically, regardless of their actual purpose.
In such cases, verify which script blocking mode is enabled in the plugin settings. The recommended option is Semiautomatic Clientside.
This mode ensures that only scripts explicitly marked in the page source as requiring user consent are blocked.
When other blocking modes are used, the plugin may prevent all external scripts from loading by default. This requires manual exception handling and may cause unexpected issues with technical integrations, including accessibility-related features.
After switching to Semiautomatic Clientside, reload the page and verify in the browser console that scripts are loaded correctly.
A more detailed explanation of how script and cookie blocking works can be found in the official Consent Manager documentation: https://help.consentmanager.net/books/cmp/page/how-to-block-third-party-codes-cookies-if-no-consent-is-given.
